Overall Thoughts
Lily of Lumley is one of the first games I played that really set the bar high for escape rooms. With a mixture of technological and mechanical puzzles the room perfectly told the story of Lily the ghost. Beautifully set in the dungeon of Lumley castle with a story that links to the real history of the castle the rooms opens up to more than you'd expect.
Special effects and audio help to create a spooky but enjoyable atmosphere. Although this escape rooms is based on a ghost story I'd say the game is more spooky than scary and is suitable for the whole family.
Although we struggled with some puzzles the GM was helpful pointing us in the right direction without just telling us what to do. The set design is great aided by the original shape and decor of the castle dungeon.
Definitely the better of the 3 rooms Escape Rooms Durham has to offer.
