"This is the perfect treat for a curious mind. Delicious Cornish chocolate, wrapped in a themed series of puzzles. Who knows which you'll finish first!"

Overall Thoughts

Chocolateral is the delicious collaboration between the puzzling mind of Stephen Lockyer and the incredible flavours of Kernow chocolate. One of the only puzzles I know of where you actually get something to eat while solving the puzzles, which in my opinion is the perfect pairing.

My first order consisted of 3 bars -

  1. Briny Burglars

  2. Minor Grumble

  3. Village Treasure

All 3 bars were absolutely delicious and the puzzles were equally as tasty for my brain. Each chocolate bar is encased in beautiful packaging covered top to bottom in puzzles. The sides of the box tend to have their own puzzle with the front of the box giving you the backstory and information you are trying to solve. Should you struggle with any of the puzzles a separate page with hints and solutions is available on the chocolate bar page on the Enigmailed site!

Briny Burglars - Caramel Sea Salt Milk Chocolate

This in my opinion is the best of the 3 both in terms of puzzles and flavour. The chocolate had a very subtle caramel flavour with big hits of slated that blended perfectly together. The puzzles on the packaging of the box were a little easier than he other bars in my opinion but equally enjoyable. Puzzles ranged from path finding to word unscrambling.

Minor Grumble - Toffee Apple Milk Chocolate

I was initially uncertain how to feel about this flavour until I tried it and it was incredible neither the toffee or apple overpowered he other, it was delicious. The puzzles on this box were equally as incredible; a little harder than briny burglars but a perfect blend various decoding puzzles.

Village Treasure - Eton Mess White Chocolate

White chocolate will always stand above the rest as my favourite in general but briny burglars just beat this one. The delicious blend of white chocolate with strawberry and meringue pieces offered both great flavour and texture. The puzzles on this box were also more on the difficult side for me; I smashed through two of the puzzles but one puzzle in particular using symbols had me stumped for a while due my brain not being able to decipher the font, but was eventually solved.

All in all these chocolate bars make incredible gifts for family or friends into both puzzling and chocolate. Or just buy them for yourself like I did! (I shared, I promise...) With incredible flavour combinations and mind melting puzzles this is one of my all time favourite escape products. But to be fair I was bribed with food!

Highly Recommend!
